Three communities from the Gizo and Kolombangara Constituency in Western Province, Solomon Islands are the recent recipients to Solar units and Out board motor engines.

The recipient communities within South and North Kolombangara and Gizo were delighted on the arrival of the much needed equipments by M.V. Fair Glory earlier this week.

The 430 solar units and 10 Mercury OBM engines will be delivered equally among the three communities.

One of the recipients of a 40 horsepower OBM engine is the Principal of Kaza Community High School, Mr. Clive Palmer who told Radio Hapi Lagun that the school is grateful for their MP Gordon Darcy Lilo's help to the school.

Gizo/Kolombangara Constituency Development Officer, Lester Alezama said another 240 solar units is expected to be delivered soon.

He said the solar unit and the OBM engines cost about 900-thousand dollars under the Constituency Livelihood funding.
