The Kingdom Harvest Ministry commemorated its eighth anniversary in Solomon Islands with a three-day programme.

Set on the theme "Together changing the city, nation and world", the anniversary celebration kicks off with a mini-trade show, which officially opened Friday night.

The mini-trade show showcased some 30 stalls around the church compound varying from food stalls to arts and craft displays.

Church spokesperson, Pastor Ellison Bako, said that the trade show is purposely to promote 'self-reliance' to church members.

Also taking part in the anniversary celebration are church members from Western, Malaita and Temotu provinces.

Church members from Vanuatu are also in the country to be part of the event.

Sunday service was highlighted with the presence of His Excellency the Governor General, Sir Nathaniel Waena, and Lady Waena, a day that also coincided with Pastor Ellison's birthday.

Despite light drizzle following the service, the mini-trade fair opened up for members of the Ministry and guests to wind down three days of celebration.
