Marist' late comeback ends with a 14 all draw against Sosa in the main Honiara rugby union association league match on Saturday at the Panatina Oval.

Sosa were stunned in the first minutes of the game as Marist crossed the line for a try and converted successfully to lead 7-0. Minutes later Sosa rehearsed a backline play to break the Marist defence and score under the posts.

Conversion was easy leveling the score line 7 all. Towards the end of the first half a Marist mishandling of the ball saw the Sosa winger stealing the ball and sneaked past his opponents to score a try on the corner flag. Conversion was successful ending the first half, Sosa 14 and Marist 7.

The second half, Marist entered the game more determined and dominated the Sosa territory. Rucks, mauls and placed kicks were in favor of the Marist boys. Sosa relied heavily on their defence and heavy forwards to slow down their game. Marist was better in general play and was rewarded with a pick and drive try. The conversion was successful ending the game 14-14.
