High Record of Weekend Accidents

Police traffic detectives at Kukum centre are investigating seven accidents over the weekend.

Police media reports that police have arrested two men on two separate incidents.

All seven accidents - two drink and drive motor accidents, two hit and run incidents and three motor collisions - occurred mainly around Honiara town boundaries.

People involved are reported to have escaped with minor injuries as well as minor vehicle damages.

Traffic Police Director, Superintendent Albert Samani, is again urging public drivers not to be careless but follow traffic rules for the safety of all road users.
