"The education journey does not end after High School Graduation."

These were the words of Mr. Donald Malasaf, the Ministry of Education's Under Secretary for Technical, in his opening remarks at the King George Sixth Graduation ceremony held earlier in the week.

"You can continue your education in many different ways, either through University, Rural Training Institution, or the Solomon Islands College of Higher Education (SICHE)," he said.

According to the Under Secretary, drop-outs are equally as important to the country as those who will be continuing their studies.

He stated that everyone is needed to participate in the country's development.

"There are many people in this world who had never received proper education but have become very successful," he said.

According to him, this is not any different to the people of Solomon Islands as long as they plan and work hard to realize their vision.

He encouraged the graduates to remain positive that every effort will lead them to something great.

The graduation ceremony was attended by hundreds of family members, friends and other well wishers.
