Governor Rick Hou Farewelled

Last night, more than three hundred guests turned up to witness the farewelling of CBSI's longest serving Governor, Rick Hou.

Central Bank of Solomon Islands (CBSI) staff put on a memorable function on Monday night at the Sea King Restaurant.

It was indeed a night to remember as many friends, workers and colleagues all turned up to the function.

Rick Hou has decided not to renew his contract, as the governor of the bank, after being with the bank for more than 25 years, from 1983 - 2008.

Mr. Hou said to be exact, his time with the bank is about 25 years, 1 month and two weeks. He said he has served the Bank with all his might and has made it his ultimate desire to serve God and the people as the Governor.

Mr. Hou spoke of good times and tough times, spicing it up with good clean humor keeping everyone smiling and laughing.

Rick thanked many that have contributed to his success and life.

Mr. Hou will be taking a post with the World Bank at the Washington DC in USA under a two contract.
