Government Makes Three More Political Appointments

The government has made another three political appointments.

Ronald Fugui has been appointed Private Secretary to the Prime Minister, Sam Alasia as Secretary to Caucus and Wayne Maepio as Caucus's Administration and Logistics Officer.

The appointments follow that of Andrew Muaki as the new Special Secretary to the Prime Minister and Billy Titiulu as the new Attorney General.

Special Secretary to the Prime Minister Andrew Muaki told SIBC News that these are the only political and constitutional appointments to date.

The SSPM says the government is yet to finalize its position on Permanent Secretaries, but says the government wants to ensure that future appointments or terminations of Permanent Secretaries will not cost taxpayers.
