A week-long evaluation exercise on the National Government's priority programs for 2012 starts today Tuesday 2nd October in Honiara, Solomon Islands.

A five member team from the Office of the Prime Minister and Cabinet spear-headed by Permanent Secretary (Special duties) Luma Darcy will conduct ministerial visits to the government's 24 existing ministries.

The aim of the exercise is to evaluate the 2012 priority programs of the NCRA government policy which have been implemented by ministries since the beginning of this year.

Assistant Deputy Secretary to the Prime Minister, Wilson Karamui said the team will discuss with Permanent Secretaries, Under Secretaries and Divisional Heads of respective Ministries to collect data on the implementation of government's priority programs in 2012.

Mr Karamui said the team has been mandated to carry out the evaluation exercise to see how far government has been implementing its priority programs this year.

The exercise will also help in making adjustments to areas that need improvement to the existing priority programs of government.
