Folotalu: New MP for Lau/Baelelea

According to reports by the local media, Walter Folotalu is the new MP for the Lau/Baelelea constituency.

Full results for the Lau/Baelelea constituency bye-election will be officially announced tonight by the Governor General, Sir Nathanial Waena.

The results will then be officially announced in Auki, the Provincial Capital of Malaita.

Solomon Star reported that the crowd in Lau/Baelelea constituency, who were in favour of other candidates, turned rowdy after hearing the unofficial results.

Mr. Folotalu won the Bye-Election by a close margin.
