Fiji to Offer Air Traffic Training

Airports Fiji Limited will now provide training for Solomon Islands air traffic controllers and other personnel involved in managing air space.

This comes as part of an agreement between Fiji and the Solomons for Fiji to manage Solomon Islands upper air space.

AFL Chair, Adrian Sofield says AFL will provide a two year training program for Solomon Islands air traffic officials.

He says Airports Fiji has advanced technology in aviation and navigation and is at the forefront of these services - on par with Australia and New Zealand.

A delegation from the Solomon Islands was also shown facilities at the Air Traffic Control Tower in Nadi, Fiji recently.
