The Emerging Pacific Leaders Dialogue (EPLD) program for 2010 is now open for interested applicants in the region including Solomon Islands.

Paul Tovua, chair of the local organizing committee for EPLD said, "We are looking for high caliber candidates who are already on the path to senior leadership to apply for the EPLD 2010."

"This will be a fantastic opportunity for our emerging leaders of the Solomon Islands to interact and network with other leaders from around the Pacific including, Australia, Cook Islands, East Timor, Fiji, Kiribati, PNG, New Zealand, Tonga and many others," he said.

"Participants will have the opportunity to be involved in a group study tour to one of the Pacific Nations to examine, discuss and report on current strategic issues across the Pacific."

Emerging Pacific Leaders Dialogue 2010 (EPLD) is scheduled to take place from 11th to 23rd March 2010 - opening in Samoa and closing in Tonga. It is an event of national and regional significance and is designed to inspire and uplift individuals with proven leadership experience or potential to contribute to leadership and governance in the Pacific Region, the long-term development and stability of the region and promote regional understanding and co-operation.

EPLD was initiated by the highly respected and long-established Commonwealth Study Conference (CSC) organisations and CSC alumni in Australia, New Zealand and across the Pacific with inaugural EPLD 2006 opening in Brisbane and closing in Auckland with 10 study tour locations around the Pacific including Solomon Islands.
EPLD 2010 is sponsored by government agencies and private sectors across the Pacific, particularly the Australian Government.
