The team is expected to leave for New Zealand by the end of this month with the new inclusion of Kossa defender Takayama, Marist striker Benjamin Mela and Kossa goal keeper Morgan. Bilikiki represented Oceania in the World Championship in Brazil and stamped their mark by beating the experienced Cameroon side. Since it is the winter season in New Zealand, the tournament is likely to be hosted indoors once arrangements are made. The team preparations are good with most of the beach soccer players also in the current national men's training squad for the 2007 SPG. Beach soccer sensation James Naka returns to join the Bilikiki after his outstanding performance for Kossa in the Solomon Islands club championship.
