Athletics has bagged four medals for Solomon Islands at the Northern Marianas 2022 Pacific Mini-Games.
Dianah Matekali won the Gold Medal at the 10,000m event, while her compatriot and mentor Sharon Firisua scooped the Silver Medal.
Jeminah Otoa got the Bronze Medal at the women’s ambulant 100m, clocking her fastest time to date. Cosmol Maefolia got the Silver Medal for the men’s ambulant 100m event.
Solomon Islands are currently ranked 7th overall in the medal tally with 4 Gold Medals, 15 Silver Medals and 3 Bronze Medals.
Papua New Guinea currently leads the medal tally with 19 Gold Medals, 11 Silver Medals and 7 Bronze Medals.
