Four athletes will represent Solomon Islands at the Olympic Games in London, which begin later this month.

The country will be sending two sprinters, one weightlifter and one judoka.

Chef de Mission, Ronald Talasasa says competing on the world stage will be a good chance for the group to test themselves.

"It will be a huge experience for our athletes, it will be a huge experience for Solomon Islands and it will be just a wonderful time and opportunity for them personally."

Ronald Talasasa says the focus is on breaking personal records and developing with an aim to peaking at the upcoming Mini-Games and Pacific Games.
