The Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare revealed in a press conference yesterday that the acting Attorney Genera'ls contract has been extended for a further six months.

Sogavare stated that the acting AG's position has been extended so that it gives time for the government to deal with the issue of the suspended Attorney General.

On the issue of the planned trip to Australia by the Acting AG, Sogavare stated that he has canceled the trip pending further discussions by cabinet. "We are preparing questions for the DPP in Australia, as soon as we finalise some of these things we will decide how best to address it."
