The 87th Session of the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Council of Ministers starts today in Addis Abba, Ethiopia.

Ministers and senior officials from 79 States are arriving in Addis Abba for the meeting, which will address trade, financial, political and human development matters within ACP.

The state of play, implications and the way forward for the Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) is amongst the major issues that will be discussed.

A number of reports will also be presented to the ACP Ministers. One of them is the outcome of the second meeting of the ACP Ministers in charge of Asylum, Migration and Mobility held last month in Brussels, Belgium.

ACP Ministers will also get Ministerial consultations and Committee reports on Banana, Sugar (Consultative group and Least Developed Countries), Cotton and Development Finances.

Ministers and senior government officials who are members of these committees met on Sunday to finalise their reports for the ministers' meeting.

On Thursday, the joint ACP-EC Council of Ministers' starts and ends on Friday.
