It is rather disturbing that learned CJ has to come out in public and defend a statement which clearly the truth. It is clear from the appointment someone is clearly not thinking properly or was forced to think improperly, other such an appointment would not have been made in the first place. How can anyone or Commission of integrity appoint someone with a tainted image to the position of Attorney General of Solomon Islands? By doing what he did, the CJ has exposed himself to criticism of either supporting a very bad decision by the Commission or denying the undeniable fact that the former Prime Minister had a hand in the appointment of Julian Moti. In this way, he exposes himself also to criticism of neutrality of himself and the Judicial system he represents.
