School Drop outs

Dear Editor,

A well written comment in relation to the youth numbers in the country.

So now what better a time and opportunity is there to whole heartedly push the SI Tourism sector. The timing is so ripe for the Government to ramp this sector up and follow our nearby Melanesian countries directions in this market.

Imagine the jobs to be created in Building new Resorts, staffing them, infrastructure support, future maintenance, Catering and so on. Quite possibly a hundred times more jobs than the logging industry or others could offer. For those not aware just study our nearby cousins and the work that their countries are now doing to attract the Tourism dollars into their areas.

Now PM Lilo is the time to invest in Tourism - big time, and utilise the many youth that are available to us.
