As a nation we wrongly teach our children in the History lessons, in our schools, that Solomon Islands was discovered by Mendana. This we all understand is not true. Solomon Islands was not a vacant land when Mendana arrived. There were people in our Islands so our Solomon Islands was never discovered these adventures. I hope we teach the correct History to our children.
The real Discoverers of our Islands that we need to teach our Children were our ancestors.
Who coined the phrase "that were discovered?" Whose interests are served by such phrase?
