Millions of $$ donations/aids

Dear editor,

appreciate it if you could publish this letter of mine.

Having seen what the richer nations are doing in providing donations or aids to our poor country to pay for its own development, a bleak future can be predicted for our nation, Solomon Islands. We will always be depending on aid donors and the paradox is we will be driven deeper into poverty to pay the banks of those wealthier nations.

In this way, indirectly, we are actually forced to destroy our biological resources at a much greater rate in order to pay off our national debt rather than using those resources to supply the needs of our people and the needs of our children's children in the years to come. Hem tasol olketa.
