Time to Stand Up & be Counted

Dear Editor

I also agree with some of the contributors to this forum that some pressure groups in Solomon Islands are not playing their role as watch dogs of governmental activities. In this regard I must thank TPI Solomon Islands for being vocal in challenging the decision of PEC.

The decision of the PEC on MP's entitlement is a case in point. I note that only the TPI Solomon Islands has voiced its opposition.

Previously from their records and vocalness, I believed certain government MPs can walk on water but their silence on the PEC issue has certainly changed my perception of their character. For me, they are as guilty as the makers of the decision. If you are not opposing a wrong decisionn you are for the decision. Therefore, I challenge the Pressure groups in Solomon Islands to rise to the occasion and challenge any ill conceived made by the CNURA government, including that made by the PEC.

REMEMBER, SILENCE IS ACQUIESCE
