Student Allowance

With all the hypes and the ongoing drama about the students need for allowance increase, I just wonder if the students have submitted the claim to the right authority. I noted the media release of the USP VC begging various sponsors to award students an increase in their allowance citing the impact of devaluation of Fiji dollar. I am sure such call is justified and need no further comments especially when it comes from the USP VC himself. My main concern is that such case must be pushed through the right channel or seek further support even if it means presenting this case at higher authority than the PS or Minister of Education. I suggest that the time and energy accorded to contribution on this forum under this threat be used in making strong submission to relevant authorities (even up to the PM himself). I believe it will worth the effort. And I am sure at the end of the day you will get an increase.

Some of my thoughts. Best of luck to studies.
