PUBLIC ENCOURAGED TO DEBATE GOVT BILLS

The news release by Mr. keniapisia is welcomed however, this should happen before the Caucus meeting. Government should organise Pubilc forums at USP Centre, SICHE and even Secondary School Halls to get the views of the public. At the moment the "public "are normally selected people and groups. Hosting public forums do not cost money. People who are concerned about this nation will turn up at their own cost to raise their concerns. Such forums should be organised by respective Ministries or Parliamentary Committees. The consultations should be open rather than selecting organised bodies who are usually tied by thier own interests and the interest of their funders. These bodies are important and must be consult but individuals must be heard as well.
